why the monument
For nearly 40 years John Berry Meachum helped his people through work, preparation and education to win FREEDOM! Strange as it may seem there is nothing in the St Louis region to date named in his honor to commemorate this great man of God and remarkable leader.
It is with great honor and the vision of our Founder Brother James of the Downtown School of Prophesying to embark on this fundraising journey to erect on the grounds of the First Baptist Church of St Louis, a monument to honor the life, legacy and work of Rev. John Berry Meachum, a modern-day PROPHET.
